Police in Anaheim Shoot Beanbags and Release K9 on Baby

By on July 23, 2012

by Ezra Van Auken

This past Saturday afternoon in Anaheim, CA, a group of protestors seeking justice in an incident involving one cop shooting a civilian to death, were put into a gloomy situation. As the gathering continued outside, officers moved to confront protestors. Once police realized protestors would not stop the demonstration, a policeman fired rubber bullets at the crowd of men, women and children. Seconds into the attack, a cop released one police K9 which went after a mother and daughter.

According to reports, the melee started because of rocks and a bottle being thrown at police, however officer’s responses to the small-scaled “attack” were horrendous. All of these events happening are due to what citizens say as, “an increased police violence against them in the community,” leaving many scared as to what could happen next.

Manuel Diaz, the man killed by police earlier Saturday apparently led police on a foot chase, which ended with one shot to Diaz’s buttocks and another to his head. An eyewitness to the shooting, Crystal Ventura, stated that she saw Mr. Diaz’s back to the policeman when shots were fired at him. “They searched his pockets, and there was a hole in his head, and I saw blood on his face,” said Ventura describing the events.

Regardless of situations in Anaheim that played over the weekend, many Americans are becoming weary towards police departments and officers. The United States incarceration rate is greater than any other country at about 2,400,000 prisoners. Besides Anaheim’s consistent run-in with police other areas such as Pennsylvania have experienced the same levels of brutality.

IF you throw bottles at the Police you bought and paid for your troubles, THAT a mother would take a child into a protest PROVES she did it hoping for JUST the kind of response that happened, that the news Media reports and helps to stir unrest in Cal. and the rest of this country Proves that your also part of the problem, SHAME on the mother and SHAME on the media for encouraging this type on civil disobediance.

Aly1369 is right. This wouldn’t have happened if they didn’t instigate. Would you throw a bottle at people with guns? No that’s stupid. Also, as a parent, you’re job is to keep your kids safe, why in the world are you taking them to a protest? ANY KIND OF PROTEST! Especially the kind where half the people are armed.

That you would write a comment like this proves that you are an ignorant uninformed victim of the system. You can keep sleeping or you can wake up.

WOW, i dont know much about the situation, but all i can tell is that even throwing bottles at someone, is not a reason to shoot them with anything, arent the police supposed to be peacekeepers, this action should not go unpunished.

You think shooting at people and sicking dogs on the crowd is necessary? How about this, why do the cops need to be there in the first place? It wasn’t a riot until they arrived, it was simply a protest. The cops always stir it up.

The New World Order, which I just seconds ago learned, as of my birth I because of my birth certificate am owned by them! What happened in California is very sad and becoming very real every where, we have to figure out how to stop this corruption or just kill ourselves to keep from living there hell! Why can’t the police see what our government is doing to us, if they put the shoe on the other foot it could have been them, shot in the back or there child or wife mauled by that dog!

Yeah it is really disgusting how the police think they are so much better than you are and how they think they can tell you what to do even if you aren’t doing anything wrong. They treat everyone like criminals.

i know what i am about to say may offend some people, i speak the truth as i see it ,from many years of research of our history…both known history & behind the scenes history , i have found that the “protectors” of our society have been groomed from birth with a certain “mindset” that they are of a better class than the general population, as many levels of class are apparent in our society, some classes are so deep behind the scenes we don’t they exsist.they are the ones who control the police/government/military/BLACKOPS, around the world , creating dramas for them to “control”, i do believe things will change for the better soon, they are loosing power back to the people , we are all equal we all come from the same source we all bleed the same colour blood we all love our fellow man “we all believe what we are told ” unless it doesn’t feel right anymore , things change attitudes change ,so let this change start with asking for the truth to be told , we are all one.

I agree w/ you and your comment is not offensive, at least not to me, it is well stated and we are all allowed our feelings, it’s how we present them that matters 🙂 If only everyone could express themselves so tactfully, these threads wouldn’t frustrate me to tears as often as they do haha.

On topic, I think this is just disgraceful display of “power”. That said, throwing bottles at cops, people in general is unacceptable behavior from a society of adults and I do not agree w/ parents who take their children to these things knowing there is always the chance of this happening but that does not at all justify what these cops did. When you are legally allowed to carry weapons and use them on other people, you are held at a higher standard to maintain self control. This is a 2 sided issue and both sides, in this case, were wrong. Bad behavior, shameful behavior honestly and brings up the age old question…”What is our society coming to?”

Well said Alicia. I am in complete agreeance with you as to the fact that this is a two sided issue and both parties displayed unacceptable behavior in this matter. That said, some parents are just plain stupid, this lady with a child at a demonstration of this caliber is a prime example. If you see that type of force being displayed by any organization, it should be as very obvious that your child does not belong in that situation.

The cement above is mostly true except the end part where we are winning. It is true the real behind the scenes people are running things. These people have a shit load of money. In our society money = power. When you have virtually unlimited amounts of it then you da boss. You da everything. With enough money you can buy the government, troops, cops the whole enchilada. when you have that kind of money you have sold your soul and conscience, your humanity. The people at the top already have blood on their hands and they have no problem taking yours.

It’s really sad to think they shot this person in the head just because he was getting away. I wonder what he did so wrong that they had to kill him. It’s an outrage..

It’s wrong.. It’s plain wrong.. Just because someone disobeys doesnt’ mean you kill them.

Social unrest occurs because WE THE PEOPLE have had our rights removed. We are considered animals by the government and the police who do their dirty work.

Get to know your neighbors. Share your leftovers with them. It is the old divide and conquer type of mentality. Remember OHIO, PENN STATE and many other uprisings in the 70s. That does not hold a candle to what could potentially happen this year when the banks fail and groceries double and triple.

No one is better than another. No government or police system. Wake up. Wake up! This could be you tomorrow.

I agree, the old thinking that indoctrinates people to believe that the police have the best interest of the citizens in mind is foolish: the police laugh about killing us, they are racketeers, I live in Anaheim, I know the cop cooperative who killed seven homeless people attributed to some dupe who was in the military (and never killed anyone during his service, or after). It’s so easy for cops to kill, they killed those seven men because the men were observers to cop rackets (car break-ins). The police are about systematically killing us and the motive is money. APD is a copy of an FBI office, it’s double gate plexi, you can not talk to anyone there without an appointment. If you have an appointment that they don’t want, they simply tell you when you get there that you are mistaken about your appointment. They arrested me for stating that I knew who actually killed the seven homeless men (they didn’t like that I knew it was seven, not five as they lied to the media.) They operate as a paramilitary war force. NYPD is the worlds forth largest army. We are the enemy. I’m sure that no bottles were tossed, I’m sure that I have never read an accurate media account regarding the police, because the police are a gang and they control what is reported about them. The problem is that they are committed to killing us, so, it’s too late. They already have it all figured out, including how to exterminate us. Shame on them.

In Canada we face the same problem as you, our friends in the U.S. Our governments and governments throughout the world have been under the control of the Rothschilds of Britain and the Rockefellers of the U.S. since the end of the 1929 Great Depression which was intentionally created by them. People have to be made aware of what has been happening and we have to take back our countries. Just remember, there are only a few hundred of them and 7 billion of us.

    • Nancy Wood

      October 27, 2012 at 5:29 pm

Here is the problem with blaming everything on the Rothschilds, the seven billion of us put the few hundred of them in power by accepting their terms and adopting their economic precepts, the only way around it is to abandon the system and live on the street, which actually is not so bad, I rather enjoy it. But that is not going to happen, not for the majority who will watch TV and wait for things to get better as they look up into the night sky at the chem trails that are exterminating them. (I like the Rothschilds by the way, they are sweet endearing fun loving people with cute kids, and a great art collection of which I am a part.)

There was this country in the news in the last year, you might have heard of it, the people demonstrated against the brutality, and yes they threw stones and bottles, and the police reacted the same way that these officers did.

Well because this country was very oil rich and had it’s own banking and monetary system which was not in the control of certain western corporations the media demonized this countries government.

Of course because America is such a grand capitalist country in which the media and corporations control EVERYTHING, I’m sure it will turn out that this was indeed the general public’s fault and those poor hardworking thugs with guns will get a nice bonus.

    • Admin

      July 30, 2012 at 9:35 am

Agreed, except this country is not a capitalist country, we do not have a free market. America is the epitome of a soft fascist/corporatist society. Crony capitalism is not capitalism it is fascism in disguise.

You do realize that without corporations America would be nothing, right? Do you think we would be relevant in today’s world if we didn’t invent tv, movies, the internet, computers, rock and roll, the atomic bomb, video games and almost everything the rest of the world uses today? How did these advances happen? Maybe, just maybe it was an entrepreneur, you know, the guys who eventually lead a corporation. Without corporations we would be nowhere and the rest of the world would have us for breakfast. Just be thankful they don’t outright rule the world and they have checks and balances (the government) in there somewhere.

          August 2, 2012 at 4:21 pm

A corporately-controlled state is fascism. Corporations did not do all the things you listed, individuals did and was then later taken over and controlled by corporations lobbying and buying special laws to protect their interests. Fascism is what you are advocating for?

Police in California are paid an average annual salary of $50,000, hardly enough money to crown them ruling emperors over the lives of innocent people! One day we will all have the right to bear arms against them and they know it. I for one refuse to be afraid when that time comes. If the police can’t be trusted to make responsible decisions when it comes to firing a weapon, then how can they expect anyone to respect and uphold the law? Our children are growing and experiencing police brutality, how do yo think their generation will react? A mother should be able to make the decision to introduce the right to free speech to her child without being afraid.

so what would you propose… protest??? they tried and the police were forcing them away, thats when the bottle was thrown. It was a peace protest until these officers got physical first… atleast they did something. what have you done to stop “evils” of the world? go back to your corner and watch everybody else do something for humanity.

It is refreshing to read so many open minded people in one place. A lot of wise comments and conclusions what is going on around us. Europe has been conquered already decades ago. I guess by the same elites and corporations which pull strings in America. The process was lengthy and many managed to ‘woke up’ but without means and in so heavy legislated societies we can not do much any more. The politicians with the best intensions can not do much any more as well unless they are suicidal in terms of their carriers and even their own life . only puppets who obey their masters have a chance in this game. We should not forget that the present geopolitical and economical situation is the fruit of our ignorance carried on for so many decades. We are victims of our greed and over consumption. without offense but America was leading this culture or rather lack of culture. UK the country of my residence was just behind. It resulted in imprisoning us by the banking system. In almost exactly the same way the whole continents were imprisoned like rich in resources Africa. As long as we had flashy cars, new TV sets and cheap Mc Donalds we did not care what was going around us and why our governments parasitize other countries. There is no free market in US since introducing Federal Reserve Act of 1913 but the global economy still base on free market and that is the ultimate verification of our standard of life. The western countries can not sustain their level of spending and we all going to suffer now. Police sates are the solutions to decreasing standards of life or maybe that was the plan …

In the first comment Aly wrote
“IF you throw bottles at the Police you bought and paid for your troubles”
In a free society people have rights to demonstrate even violently if they fight for their constitutional rights. the boundary between protesters and authority can not be define any more. If people were united and more organized they would form new authority. Even in former communistic Europe acts of such day light aggression by authorities would lead to hundred of thousands demonstrating in the streets and many government buildings damaged by molotow cocktails. That is how solidarity of people managed to defeat a giant.

  13. Nancy Wood

    October 27, 2012 at 5:32 pm

But in places where the giant is defeated there is discontentment, here there is TV and alcohol.
