Beretta May Leave Maryland Because of Gun Ban

Beretta USA in Maryland is thinking of pulling up stakes and moving out of the state because of pending assault-weapons ban legislation. Beretta USA is a division of Beretta, the 500-year-old family owned company, which won a contract in 1985 to become the standard sidearm of all U.S. servicemen, replacing the Colt 45.

Gov. Martin O’Malley has offered a bill that would ban assault rifles and magazines with more than 10 bullets, meaning Beretta’s famous 9mm pistol, which has a 13 bullet magazine, would be banned. New sidearms that possessed “military features” would also be included, which means Beretta’s semiautomatic version of the ARX-160 would likely be banned.

Beretta USA has expressed frustration that the state where the guns are produced would disallow its citizens from owning the guns. Jeffrey Reh, general counsel for Beretta, said,  “Why expand in a place where the people who built the gun couldn’t buy it?”

State lawmakers are genuinely concerned that Beretta will leave; 300 jobs could be lost. Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller Jr. (D-Calvert) said, “I’m concerned. I think they’re going to move. They sell guns across the world and in every state in the union — to places a lot more friendly to the company than this state.”

Reh has warned the legislators, citing the 1990’s move toward increased gun restrictions which prompted Beretta to transfer its warehouse operation to Virginia. Reh said, “I think they thought we were bluffing. But Berettas don’t bluff.”

Beretta or any other gun manufacture would not be facing this if the NRA had not published and sent out just before the election a kill the black man issue. The NRA thinking the president did not stand a chance of being reelected said things about a man that, not ever mentioned a thing about our guns.
Now the president has his turn to get even with the NRA. If everyone seen the pre-election issue. It would be clear why President Obama is up set and more than willing “NOW” to make them pay.
Bottom line, the NRA shot them self’s in the foot….

So because the NRA says something someone disagrees with government is free to violate the constitiution? So we’re going to tolerate a president that gets even with people? He’s a wannabe tyrant and him and the rest of the dumb bastards are gonna go one step to far one of these days and the American people will “get even” and remove them from office by force.

I think they should all be removed from office for not upholding their oath to office and they deserve what they get. They should look at the criminals and know that they will always find ways to hurt people even if they were to do away with all guns. Even take the guns from elected officials, just so it puts EVERYONE on the same playing field and they are left as defenceless and the law abiding citizens are when trouble comes calling at their homes and their families. Remember everyone, that they WILL NOT take guns from the criminals regardless of how many restrictions you put on the good people. Look how their doing with stopping drugs, prostitution etc. Now you think your gonna stop the flow of illegal guns also. You elected officials need a big class on how to protect the people who voted you in, and taking our guns is not the answer. IT IS OUR RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS

Come across the Potomac River from Accokeek, MD to Sterling, VA. Heckler & Koch’s U.S. HQ is here in Sterling, VA. Virginia’s has shall-issue conceal carry, is gun friendly (much to the annoyance of the Fairfax County Board of Supv). Since our law abiding citizens are better armed, our crime rate is a lot lower than in gun unfriendly Prince Georges County and Charles County MD. MOLON LABE!!!
